About

Benjamin Tarp is a Danish Creative Director, Photographer & Filmmaker based in Copenhagen.

Working across fashion, luxury, design and culture, he develops visual worlds that connect concept, image and narrative — from creative direction and campaign development to photography and moving image.

His approach combines strategic thinking with a distinct visual sensibility: cinematic, poetic and quietly expressive. Drawing on film, art, landscape and human observation, his work often moves between intimacy and distance, refinement and rawness, reality and fiction.

Whether developing the creative direction for a brand, shaping the visual language of a campaign or directing an individual image, Tarp works from the same principle: to create work with a clear point of view and a world that extends beyond the frame.

Alongside commissioned work, his independent practice explores memory, landscape, the human figure and traces of the past through long-form photographic and film-based projects.

Former Picture Editor at Vogue Scandinavia.

Selected clients and collaborators include Condé Nast, Vogue, Zalando, Kinfolk, The New York Times, Skall, MKDT Studio, Arne Jacobsen Design, Bolou, NA-KD, Villoid, A. Kjærbede, Woodbird, Dea Kudibal and LuckyLo.
